Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Bonfire Stories (the “Service”), operated by Bonfire (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts & Workspaces

You may create an account using a supported identity provider (e.g. Google) or email + password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. New workspaces are subject to manual review; we may decline a workspace without a stated reason.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Send messages or recording invitations to recipients who have not consented to be contacted.
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful to minors.
  • Probe, scan, or test the Service's vulnerabilities, or attempt to access data not belonging to your workspace.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) or to evade carrier filtering.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate workspaces that violate these rules, including immediate suspension to protect message-delivery infrastructure.

3. Resident-Facing Recording Flow

When you send a magic link to a recipient (e.g. a resident, customer, guest, or patient), they record a short video on their own device and confirm consent before submission. You agree that you have a lawful basis to contact each recipient and that the contact information you provide is accurate.

4. Trial & Billing

New workspaces start in a 14-day trial limited to three submitted stories. AI analysis runs during the trial; monetary rewards do not until you connect billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly per property; reward payouts are pre-funded via a wallet top-up. We may change pricing on reasonable notice.

5. Data You Provide

You retain ownership of all data you upload (videos, transcripts, contact lists). You grant us a license to process that data solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell your data.

6. Service Availability

The Service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonfire is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and request workspace deletion by emailing hello@bonfirestories.app. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
